Outreach Coordinator
Job Title: Outreach Coordinator
Position Reports To: Co-Director Team
Stipend: All positions have a yearly $500 stipend, to be paid in quarterly installments of $125 (March, June, September, December).
Job Purpose: Outreach Coordinator is responsible organizing outreach functions and keeping Camp Ten Trees visible within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule no fewer than 10 outreach sessions between October 1st and June 30th.
- Work with Co Director Team and Volunteer Coordinator for staffing.
- Organize creative outreach events.
- Write and distribute a minimum of four press releases per year.
- Assist in the outreach and marketing required for fundraising events.
Preferred Traits and Skills
Camp Ten Trees is looking for someone who is motivated and creative. Ability and willingness to make connections within the camp and LGBTQ communities. Willingness to learn skills for writing press releases and other marketing techniques. Some experience in event volunteering preferred.
All Year-Round Staff Should Meet The Following Requirements:
- Sensitivity to the LGBT Community.
- Must be accurate and detail oriented; should possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet firm deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced Team environment.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Attend one required meeting per month and be available for additional meetings as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours (minimum of 15 hours per month), as needed by changing needs. (Most jobs can be worked around any general work schedule - days, evenings, weekends, etc.)
- Follow all policies and procedures for year round volunteers.
- Ability to pass a WA State background check.
