Graphic Designer

Job Title: Graphic Designer

Position Reports To: Co-Director Team

Stipend: All positions have a yearly $500 stipend, to be paid in quarterly installments of $125 (March, June, September, December).

Job Purpose: A person who will design images for use for the promotion of Camp Ten Trees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discuss the requirements for designs with camp Co-Directors
  • Design the Camp Ten Trees registration brochure
  • Design/update the Camp Ten Trees year-round promotional brochure
  • Work with other staff to develop design ideas for other promotional purposes
  • Suggest production methods, materials needed and costs

Preferred Traits and Skills
Camp Ten Trees is looking for someone who has experience in any art or design work or courses, advertising, or marketing work. Applicant should be motivated, creative and imaginative. They should also be accurate, and able to meet deadlines. Applicants need to be skilled in computer-aided design programs. Applicants need to have good communication skills, problem-solving skills and an eye for detail. Applicants should know about art materials and techniques, how to use color and design effectively, and should have a knowledge of printing and production methods.

All Year-Round Staff Should Meet The Following Requirements:

  • Sensitivity to the LGBT Community.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented; should possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to meet firm deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced Team environment.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Attend one required meeting per month and be available for additional meetings as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (minimum of 15 hours per month), as needed by changing needs. (Most jobs can be worked around any general work schedule - days, evenings, weekends, etc.)
  • Follow all policies and procedures for year round volunteers.
  • Ability to pass a WA State background check.
